SIRENS.

John Rohner

Sweet Temptress.
Wicked Murderess.
broken heartedness.
Searching for Sancturary
so I with harlots feast
the Godess of love I kiss
only to unleash the beast
a sexual object
more body than soul
took me down a road
took me down a long road
and left me there
all I could hear were sirens

love can conquer all, or make empires fall
it breaks down the walls when you hear the Siren's call
she sleeps so silently
that's OK with me
now's my time to steal away
finally fly so free
when we flew, we flew so high
why'd I ever let you go
I need to be back on flight again
so I search for sirens
I search for sirens

The sirens are calling my name
The sirens are watching love change
The sirens are beckoning me
tempting me with golden wings
we could fly
we could fly so high
on golden wings
up high in the sky
I'd reach to touch you
and lover, we could fly
over where my body lies
and listen to the siren's call
as my golden wings rust
and fall.
